If you love coloring with alcohol markers, a color chart is one of the best tools you can have! It lets you swatch every single marker so you always know exactly what a color looks like on paper before you touch your artwork. No more guessing — just grab your chart and pick! 🎨
I created a free Canva template so you can make your own chart at home, plus a YouTube video where you can watch me fill mine in. Below you’ll find both the blank template and the numbered version — download, print, and start swatching!

The chart comes in two versions: a blank chart (page 1) for you to write in your own marker numbers, and a pre-numbered chart (page 2) already filled with common alcohol marker codes including warm greys (WG), cool greys (CG), and blue greys (BG).

Watch me swatch out all my alcohol markers in real time — it’s relaxing, satisfying, and a great way to see how the colors look when actually applied to paper. (Video coming soon!)
How to Use Your Alcohol Marker Color Chart
- Print on 120–160 gsm paper for best results with alcohol markers.
- Works on US Letter or A4 paper sizes.
- Write the marker number in each box before you color it — easy to lose track otherwise!
- Place a plastic sheet or spare paper underneath to prevent bleed-through.
- Let each swatch dry fully before moving to the next one.
- Swatch in natural light so the colors are true to life.
❓ Alcohol Marker Color Chart FAQ
A color chart is a reference sheet where you swatch each of your markers so you can see the real color on paper. It saves time when picking colors for a project — no more testing on scrap paper every time!
The numbered version uses codes common to many popular alcohol marker brands. The blank version works with any brand — just write in your own numbers before swatching.
Standard copy paper works, but 120–160 gsm cardstock gives much better results with alcohol markers. Always place a protective sheet underneath to prevent bleed-through.
